WWE SummerSlam Match Cards 2020- Confirmed Fights Till Now
So far, few matches have been announced officially for the upcoming event, and there are some predictions made based on WWE’s recent RAW, SmackDown episodes, and the last PPV event of WWE.
Go on and read the post to know what all you can get to see on 23rd August 2020 night.
1. Angel Garza and Andrade vs. The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins): WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Match
On RAW 27th July 2020, Angel Garza and Andrade win by defeating Cedric Alexander, Ricochet, and The Viking Raiders. In the past, either Angel Garza and Andrade worked excellently as a team or played very much at odds.
Things are in their favor as they earned a title shot, but are they going to hold up when they will receive a chance for becoming champions of WWE’s biggest PPV event of 2020?
2. Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre: WWE Championship Match
Randy Orton is achieving great success in his career this year and has been an outstanding performing amid the COVID19 pandemic. After the episode of RAW 27th July 2020, rumors of the match are already on.
Randy challenged Drew to have a title match, but he also attacked him following Drew’s victory in a match against Dolph Ziggler at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.
WWE SummerSlam Match Cards Predictions 2020
Here are the predictions for WWE SummerSlam match cards 2020 PPV event-
1. Bray Wyatt vs. Braun Strowman: A Universal Championship match
The issues Braun and Bray have between them may lead this way. At Money in the Bank, Wyatt was defeated by Strowman, and we have seen the brawl between them in a Wyatt Swamp Fight at Extreme Rules.
The fight on that event ended when Braun was getting pulled on the swamp by Bray. The complete dangerous form of Wyatt is The Fiend and the version of Wyatt that Strowman has to deal with and defeat to gain supremacy in the feud.
2. Asuka vs. Sasha Banks: RAW Women’s Championship
For winning the championship on RAW’s last episode, we have seen Sasha Banks having a questionable victory by defeating Asuka. On RAW backstage, Kairi Sane was getting attacked very brutally by Bayley, and Asuka went to help her friend and left the ring by handing count-out to Sasha.
There is not enough time for building Sasha Banks vs. Bayley, which leaves Asuka an ideal choice for SummerSlam 2020.
3. Aleister Black vs. Seth Rollins
Rey Mysterio can not come back so soon with his injured eyeball. If WWE has no plans for bringing Dominick Mysterio in the show to face Rollins, then Aleister is the best option.
On RAW 20th July 2020, Rollins had defeated Black, and he, along with Murphy, was seen brutally beating Black, and the brawl ended in a violent Rolling Stomp on the arms of Black. We can expect Aleister to take his revenge in the coming PPV.
4. Mustafa Ali vs. MVP: A United States Championship Match
Apollo Crews did not pass the pre-match because of the physical injuries, and there was an incomplete match at Extreme Rules. The fact is MVP still holds the United States Champion title. On RAW 20th July, we surprisingly got to see Mustafa Ali, and he joined Ricochet and Cedric Alexander in a match against MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley, a six-man tag match.
During the match, it felt like there was some significance to Mustafa pinning MVP for winning the match. Since the last decade, Benjamin had lost every match which he had on WWE programming. And MVP getting the pin indicates that there something more prominent which is about to start.
5. King Corbin vs. Matt Riddle
Though Matt Riddle fought with AJ Styles twice, King Corbin always has been the main thorn for the Riddle after his move from NXT.
On SmackDown 17th July 2020, King Corbin laid Riddle after he lost the match to AJ Styles. The focus has firmly shifted on Corbin vs. Styles to end their rivalry in the WWE’s August PPV.
We will update more fights for the SummerSlam 2020 match card as they get confirmed. The SummerSlam 2020 is all set to be a blockbuster event after Extreme Rules. This would be the 33rd edition of the PPV event in the history of WWE.
The event will be live streaming in different countries, including India, the US, and others.
