Add into the mix the high-profile nature of a groundbreaking event like the Greatest Royal Rumble, and their imminent showdown has the potential to be a match for the ages.

Well, apart from this match, fans will also get to see WWE Superstars Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, The New Day, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt and Shinsuke Nakamura, among others.

Rumors that Surround the Greatest Royal Rumble Match: John Cena vs Triple H

The rivalry between the two WWE standard-bearers has intensified with every encounter they’ve had over the years, from their classic matchup at WrestleMania 22 to their clash at Night of Champions 2008 to their knockdown, drag-out brawl on Raw in 2010. And even though they haven’t battled one-on-one since, there’s no question that they’ll be ready to pick up right where they left off at a moment’s notice.

Rumour 1: Last time these two veterans faced each other for the WWE Championship was a decade ago at the Night of Champions. The “Cerebral Assassin” came out on top that night after hitting his signature maneuver, the Pedigree. The upcoming match could be a reflection of what transpired ten years ago. Subsequently, it would continue the string of losses for John Cena.

Rumour 2: Notably, Triple H was forced to submit to this painful submission move at WrestleMania 22. He was inches away from the bottom rope before he tapped out, that left the fans in disbelief. If the “Game” taps out again in Saudi Arabia, it would leave the fans at the King Abdullah International Stadium gasping. It would surely be an ending no one would have expected.

Rumour 3: Stephanie McMahon is currently not competing at this event. Hence, there are good chances that she would be at the ringside to support her husband for this match. The “Billion Dollar Princess” has helped the “King of Kings” numerous times in the past to sneak a victory. This will also ensure John Cena looks good, even though he ends on the losing side.
