At WWE’s Wrestlemania 34, every major title is on the line over the recent course of the event. And if you’ve been watching most of WWE’s programming, being a WWE fan; you know that’s a whole lot of title matches.
And likewise, between all this, Smackdown’s tag team division will have center stage during the company’s premier PPV, building on the long New Day/Usos rivalry, while adding a wildcard: The Bludgeon Brothers. This year’s Mania is taking place at the Superdome in New Orleans, and the show will air on PPV (Pay-per-view) as well as the live stream through the WWE Network.
The Usos and New Day have had a long-standing rivalry on Smackdown over the past year. The titles have been passed back and forth, and the teams have put on some of the best tag matches in the company. However, this rivalry has really dominated one of the night show’s tag division, so there hasn’t been any room for a new challenger, until now.
The Bludgeon Brothers’ mallets may be one of the worst props in the history of WWE, but these big men are great workers capable of hanging with the very best.
The Usos and The New Day have been feuding on and off since before the Money in the Bank 2017 Network special. With both teams on SmackDown after last April’s superstar shakeup, Kofi Kingston’s ankle injury made the WWE’s favorite pancake fueled trio wait nearly two months before they got their first crack at The Uso’s titles. At Money in the Bank, The New Day would defeat The Usos by count out. The squads would ping-pong the titles back and forth until the New Day earned another title shot at Fastlane.
The Usos and New Day have a chance at revenge in this triple-threat tag match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship; however, since the titles are on the line, don’t expect an alliance between the former rivals to last long. For the better part of ten months, The Usos and The New Day have been apart of one of the better tag-team rivalries the WWE has seen in years. At WrestleMania 34 The Bludgeon Brothers are added to the mix.
